LME is emphasizing the importance of its IT function with the move.

The move has been made ahead of its LME Clear launch, scheduled for September of this year, and will include over 100 employees. The function was previously outsourced to Xchanging.

"We are very pleased to welcome the IT team to our business," says Garry Jones, CEO at the LME. "Our decision to bring technology in-house is an indication not only of the growth of the business over the past few years but also of our future development as we strengthen and enhance our technology offering."
