UK-based market data technology provider Arcontech has appointed Matthew Jeffs as its new chief executive, replacing former CEO Andrew Miller, who left the vendor at the end of last year (IMD, Jan. 4).

Jeffs was most recently managing director of Broadridge's ICS (Investor Communication Solutions) business, and also owns luxury fragrance company Askett & English.

Previously, he was managing director of global sales, marketing and service for Thomson Financial in Asia Pacific and Japan, prior to which he served as president of Reuters Korea and global head of news marketing at Reuters in London, and spent 10 years in regional management roles in Asia at Dow Jones Markets/Telerate.

Since Miller's departure, chairman and non-executive director Richard Last and director Steve Prout shared CEO responsibilities.
