Buy-Side Technology Awards: Best Buy-Side CRM Product/Service─Advent Software

Advent Portfolio Exchange allows asset managers to see their client and portfolio data in one location, track all communications, and, perhaps most importantly, allows them to be proactive and respond easily to any technology challenges they experience. Users can keep track of clients' style preferences as well as account type and status. Through APX, a firm's customer relationship management (CRM), portfolio management, and reporting functions all operate on the same SQL database platform and share the same data, which, according to Advent, provides improved visibility and accuracy across single portfolios, households, or portfolio groups.
APX has robust search functionality for prospecting purposes and data can be easily moved and found. The platform also provides customizable dashboards, fields and labels. Its report packaging functionality can cut days or weeks off manual processes for reporting, prospect mailing, and client statements.
To further enhance APX's functionality, Advent also announced this year that it is teaming up with RedBlack Software so that APX and Advent's Axys platforms will be fully integrated into RedBlack's portfolio rebalancing tool, which will allow for more efficient workflow for the firms' mutual asset management clients. Additionally, Advent went live this year with its cloud-enabled platform geared toward buy-side firms looking to rationalize their vendor relationships, providing access to a range of offerings from the San Francisco-based vendor, including Advent Moxy, Advent Rules Manager, Advent Revenue Center, Advent General Ledger Exchange, Advent Tradex, Advent Corporate Actions, and Advent Custodial Data.
