Credit Suisse Launches Guerilla 2012 Algo

Guerilla 2012 contains functionality for different levels of aggression.

Credit Suisse Advanced Execution Services (AES) has announced the release of Guerilla 2012, its liquidity-sourcing algorithm for Asia-Pacific.

Traders adapt the algorithm by setting their desired level of aggression, which in turn determines the level to which it analyzes AES Crossfinder, one of the largest regional dark pools, for liquidity as well as traditional lit markets. Advanced Order Protection, AES's proprietary risk management framework, works in conjunction with the algorithm in areas such as counterparty controls and order limit checks.

"Guerrilla has long been one of the most popular trading strategies in the US and Europe, and now Guerrilla 2012 brings our algorithmic offering to clients in Asia," says Hani Shalabi, head of AES for Asia-Pacific at Credit Suisse. "This is one algorithm which is flexible and intuitive enough to adapt real-time to current market conditions."
