Cleartrade looks to build Chinese interest through new functionality.

Cleartrade Exchange (CTLX), an over-the-counter (OTC) commodities trading venue, has partnered with fellow Singapore outfit Tradex to create a Chinese-language Graphical User Interface (GUI) for the exchange.

The GUI interface will be implemented through an application programming interface (API) between CTLX and Tradex's MultiTradeX system.

"Since our launch last year we have had growing interest from China, as much of our commodity portfolio relates to demand from the Chinese market," says Zhi Rui Ang, operations director at CLTX. "The Chinese-language interface will allow us to offer our Asia-based clients the technical solution they have been asking for. It will also mean that we can offer our service to Tradex's existing client base in China."
