Newedge Names New US CEO

French brokerage Newedge has appointed Antoine Babule CEO of its US division.

As CEO and regional head of Americas, Babule, who will work out of New York and Chicago, will be responsible for overseeing the strategic direction of the firm in the region. A former CEO of Newedge Canada, he most recently served as chief administrative officer.

"Antoine has been an integral member of our organization for nearly 18 years and has played a significant role in building Newedge's [position in the industry]," says Newedge CEO Nicolas Breteau. "With this experience, as well as his passion for our industry and focus on our clients' needs, Antoine is well placed to take our Americas business to the next stage of development in a rapidly changing marketplace."

Babule replaces Bill Sexton, who recently left the firm.
