In January 2010 and after the announcement of the merger between ABN Amro and Fortis Bank, Amsterdam-based Jop Boonstra, former business analyst at Fortis Bank, was made senior business analyst at ABN Amro. This was the start of Boonstra's involvement in overcoming the new challenges around the need for data integration and standardization.
The data industry has changed since Boonstra's days at enterprise data management software vendor Asset Control, where he was responsible for data coverage
