Toronto Exchange Clients Sign On To Posit Canada

TORONTO--About 55 clients of the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) have signed up to access Posit Canada, an anonymous order crossing system launched in April as a facility of the TSX, officials confirmed last week.

The exchange would like to see as many as 100 participants accessing Posit Canada, says Richard Nesbitt, CEO of TSX Markets Group. About half of the current early adopters are broker-dealers and the rest are buy-side institutions. Users began accessing Posit late last month by way of
