Eurex Upgrade On Course For Q4 2002

FRANKFURT--Eurex, the Swiss-German derivatives exchange, is targeting improved performance with version 6 of its trading system, scheduled for an October launch. Deployment is expected to begin soon for member and ISV testing.

The new release will feature improved robustness against volatility interruptions or circuit breaker failures -- although Eurex says it has never lost an order in ten years of operation--and the underlying graphic Java libraries will be replaced to increase the performance
