COMMERZBANK CUTS 900, APPOINTS IT HEAD

The financially struggling Commerzbank announced last week that it had narrowed its third-quarter net loss but was slashing 900 of the 2,000 jobs in its investment banking division, practically eliminating the unprofitable sector. At the same time, Commerzbank has appointed Thomas Muessener as head of IT for investment banking and other development projects, effective from the end of this month.
