First Boston Opts For FD's MIPS For NY Proprietary Trading Group

TRADING ROOM NETWORKS

First Boston Corp. has selected FD Consulting Inc.'s Realtime MIPS local data distribution system to supply market data to a 50-position proprietary trading group within its equities trading desk. The decision provides the last piece of the firm's New York trading-room platform puzzle.

The puzzle's two largest pieces were set down late last year when FBC made deals with Automatic Data Processing Inc. and Quotron Systems Inc. At that time, ADP won 600 positions for its FS Partner quote terminal
