UBS Expands Next-Based Derivatives Platform In New York, As Vendors Hold Breath On RFP

As Union Bank of Switzerland in New York idles over responses to a request for proposal for a 500-position trading room installation, the bank's securities division has enlarged its commitment to a small NeXT Computer Inc.-based system now in use at its equity derivatives trading group in New York.
