HEX: Network Failure Caused Halt

HELSINKI--Officials at the Helsinki securities and derivatives exchange (HEX) say a network failure caused by an increased volume of traffic caused a trading halt on April 7 before the end of trading.

The technical problems that caused trading to end prematurely earlier this month were unrelated to an ongoing update of the exchange’s front-end trading software, officials say.

However, while officials identified the problem, they cannot say for certain that the problem will not interrupt trading
