Nomura In New York Runs Own Version Of Tradepro

Nomura Securities International Inc. has succeeded where others have failed: It has installed Electronic Data Systems Inc.'s TradePro trade-processing system. But its success has been tinged with bitterness, not least because the system was installed 18 months behind schedule.

The New York-based unit of the Japanese securities firm has been testing the system since early April. Company officials claim TradePro is handling all trading, position-keeping and back-office accounting of Nomura's U.S
