Citi's Traders Install Decalog, Scrap Merrin Trading Platform

The 50 traders and portfolio managers on the trading floor at Citicorp's New York headquarters have just begun installing Decalog's IDEE order-management system, which will replace Merrin Financial Software's DOS-based platform. The installation is scheduled to be completed by next year's first or second quarter, says a source familiar with Citi's operations.

The senior traders in the private banking and Global Asset Management group of the large New York bank had determined at least three months
