Savvis Expects Positive EBITDA in 2001 Q4, A Year Ahead of Schedule

HERNDON, Va. -- Savvis Communications, the networking company that spent most of 2001 under the weight of its bankrupt primary customer, Bridge Information Systems, expects to report $3 million in EBITDA for the fourth quarter of 2001, beating its earlier guidance (TTW, Oct. 29).

In the first quarter of 2001, Savvis was losing an average of $9 million per month, Jack Finlayson, president and COO, says. In the fourth quarter, Savvis expects gross profit of $18 million and $3 million before taxes
