Smith Barney Inc. parent Travelers Inc. has formed a new unit to provide voice and data communications services -- including trading room market data distribution systems support and hardware leasing -- to the entire Travelers Inc. corporate organization. The new unit has been dubbed Travtech, for Travelers Technology Services.
