Guardian Scraps US DR Plans

LONDON--Guardian IT, an operator of disaster recovery centers in the UK and Europe, will not be entering the US market and has abandoned plans for a 47,000 square-foot New Jersey disaster recovery site. The decision is a direct result of the firm's current financial woes, says a spokesperson for the company.

The firm had planned to build a US presence to complement its network of DR sites in the UK and Europe (TTW, Sept. 24), but the spokesperson now says Guardian "will not be developing
