Merrill Lynch & Co.'s capital markets trading group has moved closer to equipping itself with the new market data distribution infrastructure that may eventually support more than 1,000 fixed-income traders worldwide. According to John Galante, vice president and group manager of debt markets and technology at the firm, Merrill has now focused its attention on three providers of technology: Market Vision Corp., Teknekron Software Systems Inc. and Merrill's own technology staff.
