Reuters Melds Transactions to Front Ends

LONDON—In a major step toward the merging of applications and market data, Reuters is melding transaction-oriented applications with its flagship front ends 3000 Xtra, Reuters Trader and Reuters Station.
As Devin Wenig, Reuters' president of customer segments points out, Reuters foresees market services as almost inseparable from trading applications. To get there, Reuters has applied the transaction capabilities it acquired from AVT Technologies.
