Celent: European IT Spending Up

LONDON—Modest growth in IT spending is returning to the European financial services sector, according to market research firm Celent Communications.
A Celent Communications report issued last week finds that the decline in IT budgets of last year has now been stemmed, and spending is expected to grow by 2.5 percent, reaching €45.7 billion ($55.5 billion) in 2005 compared to €44.6 billion ($54.1 billion) in 2004.
