ISLAND SLASHES PRICES
The Island ECN implemented a 47 percent price decrease in its bid to take more liquidity from the competition. The new pricing includes a market data revenue sharing program on listed stocks, lower fees and market data revenue sharing on OTC trades printed on the Cincinnati Exchange, and overall lower ECN pricing. Putnam Lovell Securities analyst Richard Repetto wrote that this price beats both Instinet and Nasdaq's Supersoes, never a popular facility with ECNs. Instinet
