Reuters' 3Q Revenues Up 10 Per Cent; IMS Rallies, But Tibco Slumps

Reuters' third quarter revenues of $1.156 billion were up 10 per cent, excluding currency fluctuations--much in step with the pace the vendor has set for 1996. Instinet was no surprise, either. Jumping by 44 per cent to $140 million, Instinet kept up with its vigorous growth so far this year. But there were some surprises--good news for outright sales of Information Management Systems (IMS) but bad news for Tibco.
Reuters managed to reverse--albeit modestly--the downward trend in outright sales
