EUREX SAID TO EYE BOTCC, BTEX
Sources close to Eurex say the European derivatives market that plans to open a US exchange by 2004, may be looking to acquire the Board of Trade Clearing Corp. (BOTCC), which was recently orphaned by the Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT) (TTW, April 28), and the BrokerTec Futures Exchange (BTEX), which was left on the table when BrokerTec's bond platform was acquired by Icap (TTW, Aug. 12, 2002). A decision on BOTCC--the subject of speculation for weeks now--is expected
