ABN To Scrap 400 Servers for RMDS Rollout

LONDON--ABN Amro will replace approximately 400 servers as part of its deployment of the Reuters Market Data System (RMDS) on Sun Microsystems servers, say sources familiar with the situation.

Approximately 80 percent of the incumbent servers are from Hewlett-Packard (HP), but the bank is also expected to replace some legacy Sun hardware as well, say sources.
