Reuters: ‘Outright Revenue’ Down, RMDS Switches Up

LONDON--During Q3 2003, Reuters’ outright revenue, which includes figures for the Reuters Market Data System (RMDS), showed a drop of 30 percent on an underlying basis compared to the same period last year, officials announced last week.

Reuters defines "outright revenue" as license sales derived from products such as risk management, market data distribution systems, treasury solutions such as Reuters Electronic Trading for Automated Dealing (RETAD), and Tibco products. "Recurring revenue" comes
