Wofex Trading System Suspends Operations Due to Insufficient Funds

TRANSACTION SYSTEMS

NEW YORK--Trading Technology Week has learned that the Wofex trading system is suspending operations because of insufficient funds. "Wofex is winding down operations," says an e-mail from one of Wofex’s employees. A source at the company confirms this but holds out hope for a return, saying, "Wofex is suspending operations pending further financing."

The combination ECN, crossing and specialist system received $3 million in funding from Allegris Capital’s Media Technology Ventures in December
