IBM Puts Faith In Partners -- And Next-Generation RT PC

A year and a half after its belated foray into the trading systems business, IBM is still cooling its heels on the doorsteps of major Wall Street firms. The computing behemoth, beleaguered by soft earnings and another round of forced staff departures, is looking to its next generation of RISC-based RT workstations -- expected early next year -- to get it over the threshold.

In the meantime, Big Blue depends on its Business Partners, software developers and systems integrators already established
