Quotron Shops TSS Code To Clients, Vendors; Developer Layoffs Averted As Strategy Shifts

In the wake of rejection by Citicorp and Goldman Sachs & Co., marketing strategy for Trading Support System (TSS), Quotron's local data distribution platform dramatically shifted last week. TSS source code is now being shopped by Quotron to a number of interested parties, including First Boston Corp., its lone live installation, as well as other firms and several would-be vendors of digital data distribution systems.

Under the current strategy -- and sources say it remains very much in flux --
