Mitsuo Kurobe, until very recently Salomon Brothers' global technology officer, has been sent back to Tokyo after just ten months on the job in New York. Salomon has yet to find a replacement to Kurobe, who had earlier been the firm's branch manager in Toyko. He is now working in the firm's arbitrage trading area in Japan, which is currently overseeing a major development effort in Korea, according to sources. Kurobe will perhaps be best remembered by IT staffers in New York for his plans to
