NYSE Filing Describes System For Trading Of 144A Securities

The New York Stock Exchange has submitted a revised proposal to the Securities and Exchange Commission outlining its plans for an automated trading system for private placements. But industry observers say the NYSE's extensive systems plans may indicate that the exchange has greater things in mind for the proposed system.

Private placements are securities that aren't registered with the SEC. They can be bought and sold only by investors with large capital resources -- so-called Qualified
