Nomura Giving U.S. Staff New Tools

NEW YORK--Broker-dealer Nomura Securities International is not only adding to its New York staff for institutional equity trading but will be giving its new trading team new tools to work with, officials tell TTW. In particular, Nomura officials are pushing to have the technology in place to provide competitive execution services for clients.

A three-phased trading technology project extending over two years is already underway, says Anthony Abenante, the new managing director and head of the U.S
