Shrouded in secrecy from the time it went live in 1989, J.P. Morgan & Co.'s huge New York trading facility remains little-changed from when its core Micrognosis Inc. data distribution and workstation platform was installed three years ago.
The majority of Morgan traders still receive market information services through a video switch, a subsystem of Micrognosis' digital/video TradeLook platform. PCs and workstations are sprinkled among the facility's 1,000 or so market data users, including
