SANDY WEILL STEPS DOWN AS CITIGROUP CEO
Sanford I. Weill will be stepping down from the post of CEO and handing over control to Charles O. Prince, who assumes the role of CEO. Weill remains chairman of the board until 2006. Robert B. Willumstad, Citigroup’s president, will become chief operating officer (COO) by January 1 of next year.
