PCX Moves Forward On Screen-Based Trading

The Pacific Exchange (PCX) is currently in acceptance testing on its screen-based trading system, developed by Australian-based Computershare. Once the testing is complete and the exchange gains the necessary regulatory approvals from the Securities and Exchange Commission, PCX will go live with the new system.

Dale Carlson, a spokesman for the exchange, says that PCX is spending nearly $50 million on technology improvements to its trading floor this year. While the exchange presently handles
