FISCHER RETIRES FROM CITI
Peter Fischer
, former director of IT operations for Salomon Smith Barney, now Citigroup’s Global Corporate and Investment Bank (GCIB), has retired as of April 1, Citi officials confirm. Fischer oversaw the redesign of trading floors for the consolidation of SSB’s New York-based fixed-income traders (TTW, June 14, 1999), the restructuring of the Smith Barney capital-markets data group, and a rollout of the Reuters Triarch market data distribution system.
