ArcaEx Readies Nasdaq Trading

CHICAGO--The Archipelago Exchange (ArcaEx), the joint venture between the merged Archipelago and RediBook ECNs and the Pacific Exchange (PCX), began its phase-in process of trading Nasdaq-listed stocks, beginning with Xomax (XOMX), from the Arca ECN to the ArcaEx platform on Friday, Feb. 14.

The rollout will be complete by the end of the first quarter, but a combined order book of New York Stock Exchange-listed shares and Nasdaq shares won’t be available until late 2003, says Steve Rubinow, CTO
