Citicorp posted a $400 million writedown of its investment in Quotron Systems Inc. Citicorp acquired the quote-terminal provider in 1986 for $680 million. The bank says it plans to restructure the unit. A Citicorp spokesman said the bank was seeking a buyer for the market data vendor. Baby Bells and existing market data vendors may be interested: sources say Quotron is being offered for $200 million.
