Tibco’s TRO Shot Down, Battle Goes On

SAN FRANCISCO--A U.S. Circuit Court judge in San Francisco has denied Tibco Software’s request for a temporary restraining order (TRO) against Sonic Software, but Tibco officials say they intend to continue the legal action.

Tibco has charged Sonic with illegally using a downloaded copy of Tibco evaluation software and Tibco sought to prevent Sonic from distributing the results of a benchmarking test that unfavorably compared Tibco’s Enterprise for JMS (Java Message Service) product against
