Most Firms, but Not All, Wait For WorldCom

LONDON--Financial firms using WorldCom networks are readying contingency plans in case the scandal-ridden provider is unable to honor its service contracts. But many are adopting a wait-and-see approach before incurring the extra costs of signing up new providers or dumping WorldCom.
The London Stock Exchange rolled out a new IP network from WorldCom in April to replace the LSE’s ten-year-old X.25 network operated by Accenture (TTW, August 27, 2001). An LSE spokesperson says the exchange has
