Regulators north of the border suspended their efforts to establish a Canadian government bond pricing service after Cantor Fitzgerald L.P. filed suit seeking a court injunction against the plans. Cantor had refused to participate in the project -- which would have required it to make its prices available to any and all data vendors -- citing an agreement to distribute its Canadian bond prices exclusively through Reuters.

CME: CFTC OKs clearing move to Google Cloud

The CFTC has given the Chicago-based exchange approval to run its clearing and settlement infrastructure on the Google Cloud Platform, while the exchange and vendor have extended their partnership to last until at least 2037.
