UBS Forms Group To Scrutinize, Cut Market Data Outlays

Union Bank of Switzerland in New York has formed a dedicated market data group charged with managing its market data resources and supporting its traders' business needs. As part of its responsibilities, the group has been assigned the formidable task of scaling down UBS' market data costs. Over the past year, UBS has spent around $14 million on market data feeds in North America alone.

UBS created the market data group in January in preparation for the bank's imminent shift to a digital data
