Equinix Preps Amsterdam Hub

The Amsterdam datacenter will provide 3,000 square meters of space once development work on the site is complete. Equinix is currently remodeling a building previously owned by ING, by stripping out much of the original equipment and installing state-of-the-art generators and air conditioning systems, says Michael Winterson, vice president of sales and marketing for Equinix in Europe.

The datacenter is scheduled to be operational in May, and will begin to accept hardware from its first clients
