QuoteMedia Premieres QuoteStream Pro

QuoteMedia chief executive Dave Shworan says the vendor is currently testing the system with broker-dealers in the US and the UK, following the expansion of data available via the vendor's consolidated feed with the addition of more than 40 international exchanges over the past year (IMD, May 7).

He says that at a subscription fee of $50 per user per month, QuoteStream Pro will enable clients to achieve significant cost savings by replacing expensive dedicated terminals from other vendors that incur costs for software and server installation, redundant T3 lines and maintenance, whereas QuoteStream Pro is a hosted application that eliminates those infrastructure requirements—allowing clients to configure the application within a matter of minutes, and introducing new features and updates automatically.

In fact, one large broker-dealer deploying the solution expects to save $1 million per month as a result of replacing other vendors' products with QuoteStream Pro, Shworan says.

Users will also be able to reduce their costs for wireless data, because QuoteStream Pro's desktop-wireless integration allows users to access the data from multiple devices without incurring multiple exchange fees for the same information, Shworan says.

The application will run on any mobile device that supports Java, and allow users to view identical content on their desktops and on wireless devices. Changes made to content on the desktop will be immediately reflected in the wireless view and vice versa, Shworan says.
