CIBC Takes Cicada, CounterpartyLink

CIBC World Markets has signed up for a legal entity data sourcing and management solution from Cicada to support the firm's regulatory compliance and anti-money laundering efforts. The service will initially provide data for CIBC WM's US equities group, and will include company documents and regulatory filings, custom data fields created by Cicada for CIBC WM, and client entity data records from Cicada spin-off CounterpartyLink.

EBS Enhances EBS Live

EBS, the UK-based foreign exchange broker and data provider, has enhanced its EBS Live spot FX market data feed. EBS Best Regular, which is being introduced as an enhancement to the EBS Live spot FX market data feed, will provide EBS Live customers with the price that can be executed for the EBS "regular" amount in currency pairs, and records the highest bid and lowest offer available in the market for a currency pair on the EBS Spot system.

FII Adds EDI Data

New Jersey-based securities data provider Financial Information Inc. has launched a new product, Financial International Data Services, as part of its FII Online Web-based query system. FIDS integrates global corporate actions data from London-based data provider Exchange Data International under a partnership between the two vendors.

Exfeed Launches Derivatives Service

Exfeed, a subsidiary of the SWX Exchange, has concluded a data delivery cooperation agreement with Derivative Partners, which specializes in preparing, calculating and exchanging data in the area of securitised derivatives, to introduce a derivatives service covering core data and key figures for all warrants traded on the SWX. The new service went live through Exfeed via vendors from Dec.12.

IC Bourse Outsources to S&P

Standard & Poor's is to provide equity research on 100 European stock for IC Bourse, a Paris based broker. The move marks a further expansion in Standard & Poor's equity research outsourcing activities in Europe. Their analysis and recommendations will be distributed by IC Bourse to second- and third-tier fund managers in France and Switzerland. The contract takes immediate effect.

SEB Signs Agreement with Ecovision

Ecovision, a Swedish news and financial information provider owned by French data vendor Fininfo has signed an agreement with SEB, a Scandinavian financial group for delivery of a feed from Nordic financial news agencies. Ecovision will deliver a real-time feed to SEB including the Swedish Ticker News Agency, Danish RB-börsen, Norwegian TDN and Dow Jones International News. The users of the news feed will be SEB employees who require qualified financial real-time news. The agreement is effective Jan.1, 2006.

CMS WebView Bound for Southeast Asia

UK-based ticker-plant software vendor CMS WebView and Singapore-based data vendor Comhedge are collaborating to study the potential market size and sales and support requirements for CMS Webview's ticker-plant software product, TDI Feed, in Southeast Asia. Both vendors will promote the use of TDI data management software to exchanges, banks and other financial institutions. CMS Webview will use Comhedge's offices during the marketing project, which will be aimed at Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong and Thailand. It will also set up demonstration facilities and a server for TDI in the region. Phase one of the collaboration is set for completion in the second quarter of 2006.

Thomson Distributes BNP Research

Thomson Financial has signed an exclusive deal with BNP Paribas Peregrine Securities for the distribution of the bank's investment research over its Investext database. Investext will carry the embargoed BNP research alongside research from over 1,000 other contributors globally such as Merrill Lynch, Credit Suisse First Boston and Citigroup.
