Acquisitions Boost Vendors' Q1 Results

The three main listed data vendors all reported positive first quarters last week, although Interactive Data Corp. saw a drop in income as a result of costs and expenses.

Reuters' total revenues grew by 13 percent to £633 million for the quarter, which included a four percentage point gain from beneficial currency movements and a five percentage points boost from the acquisition of Telerate. Underlying growth was four percent, in line with its expectations.
