Global Support Expands EMS Adoption

NEW YORK-Execution management systems (EMSes) have gained traction with a set of new users over the past 24 months, according to a whitepaper by research firm Aite Group. Once the domain of broker-dealers, hedge funds and proprietary traders, EMSes from banks and vendors are gaining in popularity with traditional asset managers, says report author Matthew Samelson, a senior analyst at Aite. The increased uptake is due to better support for global equities, options, futures and foreign exchange.
