NSX Shaves Latency on Blade Engine

"Right now, we are operating with sub-millisecond performance and averaging an 800 mircosecond latency," says Saro Jahani, CIO of the NSX.

The exchange's first project was optimizing its network performance by improving the network redundancy, removing bottlenecks and eliminating unnecessary network hops, which reduced latency from approximately 20 milliseconds to 8 or 9 milliseconds. "We have done a lot of optimization and cleanup work on the network side," says Jahani.
