German investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort Wasserstein (DrKW) has found a new way to tackle shrinking margins across its asset classes, and it centers on technology. The firm's new Digital Markets (DM) unit focuses on intermediation across the asset classes. "Digital Markets has the mandate to manage the intermediation process—that is, the buying and selling of asset classes across the bank electronically," says Sean Park, head of debt syndicate and credit trading at DrKW.
