In the Nov. 22, 2004 story, we reported that OMX is awaiting a decision on a pending patent application for a new type of electronic hybrid market. The new market model of the OMX patent could transform the way complex order types are supported by electronic exchanges. OMX filed its patent application (10/095,773) in the US back in March of 2002.
